EDBONG

EDBONG it's a school project that last 9 months, from October 2018 to Juin 2019, passing from different Milestones that the school imposed to us, such a Disegn Gate, a First Proto, Alpha and Vertical Slice. For this project we were a team of 5, a Lead Marketing, 2 Game Designers, 1 Programmer and me as Game Director and Programmer.

Pitch

The game is a coop Adventure game where you are chained with your cell mate. Both of you will try to escape  from an enormous Alien Prison that you are enclosed in. And the only way to fight the enemies that will be in your way will be to use the chain !

As you go down the levels, you will fight different enemies with their own style, and face epic bosses with unique patterns and strategies . This chain is and will be your only weapon throughout the game, and will allow you to kill the various enemies and bosses by many different interactions with it. They will challenge you, but remember that the stronger your friendship is, the stronger the chain will be !

Me in the Project

As mentioned before I worked in this project as Programmer but also as Game Director, so my main task was to manage the team and be sure that the product has the quality expected and it's finished in the time lines defined. But also I had to work a lot in the Programming section of the game, with my colleague Arthur we worked in parallel for a lot of features of the game such Visuals Effects, Sound, AI, but I mainly worked in the core mechanic of the chain the UI, the Characters Movements and Animations, and other systems such the dialogue System or Room System (Monsters Spawn).

For the versioning we were working from the first day with GitHub. I had to ensure that everyone does not interfere with each other's work and the organisation of the project itself.

Hits PlayTime 2019

We participate also to the Hits PlayTime 2019, us with 20 others students' projects were encouraged to share our progress via the social media and in June make an Event with some prizes where all the projects were exposed. In this event we won the award of Gameplay so we are really proud!
